SPECIAL GUEST
Barry Goldwater is the Founder & Principal of Goldwater Financial Group, an insurance advisory firm dedicated to delivering planning strategies that help families and businesses achieve their goals of wealth-building and protecting family assets.
Because of his deep desire to help people succeed, he works tirelessly to address the issues that matter most to the people who rely on his good advice, financial education, and product knowledge.
Barry Goldwater is a well-known local expert in the matters of retirement and retirement income planning. Since 1985, Barry has helped people in Boston and throughout Massachusetts retire safely and securely. His clients include retirees from every walk of life, from public servants to small business owners and beyond. Not one of Mr. Goldwater's clients has ever lost money in the stock market while working with him.
“A lot of people think a tax deduction is great when it comes to contributing to an IRA, but if they looked at it in reality what a tax deduction is … a tax deduction is a loan you’re taking from the government that you have to pay back — at the worst possible time, in retirement.”
Plus, Slott added, “all the earnings it created may be [taxed] at higher rates.”
Ten thousand people a day turn 65. That means there are an incredible number of people who will be looking for advice on how to create income that lasts a lifetime and addresses their lifestyle. I'm dedicated to guiding people from all walks of life, helping them protect their assets, provide for their loved ones and make sure the money they save for retirement lasts a lifetime.
It's a simple promise, but it takes a lifetime of expertise and experience to make it happen. It's a promise I take seriously, and it starts with each client's unique position. There's no one-size-fits-all. Maybe your top priority is to protect your assets or to put your life insurance to work on a parallel path to help generate tax-free income. Or you need us to help you make smart decisions regarding social security or legacy planning. Making sure you are optimizing your lifestyle today, while simultaneously preparing for tomorrow’s needs (such as retirement), isn’t easy...
Have you saved enough money?
Are you overpaying taxes each year unnecessarily?
How much can you take out each year in retirement without running out of money?
How to take care of my family and support my community?
How do you coordinate your estate and legacy planning needs with your cash flow needs of today?
Regardless of whether you are a business owner or a w-2 employee, my passion is to design an extraordinary plan that will appreciate regardless of market conditions!
All of this matters because I know firsthand the importance of strong financial planning. Losing my father was the worst thing that ever happened to me, but the life insurance he left us set me on my career path. I'm driven by the ability to create the same sense of protection and possibility for my clients. I know what that does for families—I've lived it.
Away from work, I love working with my hands, especially in the garden. I'm a planner by nature, but I started in construction. I was a builder. Working in the garden lets me indulge the planner and the creator in me.
Specialties include strategic tax-free planning | KaiZen TriZen l Alternative Retirement Planning using leverage.

SPECIAL GUEST
Adam Coffey is an Army Veteran, Engineer, and Pilot who spent 21 years as a CEO of 3 national companies, billions in exits, two number 1 bestselling book... 15 years guest speaker at top business schools.
My Army Years
At age 17, fresh out of high school, I left home with $150 in my pocket and a duffel bag on my back and joined the U.S. Army. There, I learned about discipline and leadership. I learned how to work with people of diverse backgrounds to reach a goal as a cooperative unit. And I learned how to get to work on time. I owe a debt of gratitude to the military. I continue to enthusiastically support the men and women who protect and defend our country—both in my personal life and the companies I run.
The Army also provided my education and first opportunities in engineering. That experience taught me the value of meticulous and strategic planning—a discipline that has served me well throughout my career.
The Engineer in Me
Engineering was the bridge to my first contact with G.E. Healthcare when I joined the company as an engineering group leader in 1991. I was privileged to attend the world-renowned John F. Welch Leadership Academy in Crotonville, New York—a life- and career-changing experience. My ten years at G.E., where I eventually attained the role of central Atlantic zone operations manager, taught me to run a business, and it became the launchpad for the rest of my career.
One day, I got a call from a recruiter with an intriguing proposition: I was invited to interview for president of Masterplan, Inc., a private-equity-backed service company. This was my first exposure to the world of private equity, but it became the most influential factor in my career. I was subsequently hired for the role, and over the ensuing 20 years, I’ve had the honor of serving as president and CEO of two other service companies owned by private equity firms: WASH Multifamily Laundry Systems and, most recently, CoolSys, a market-leading refrigeration and HVAC service company.
With CoolSys, I brought to bear all my experiences in business management and private equity to position the company for rapid expansion through strategic acquisitions as part of a buy-and-build strategy. CoolSys has 21 operating brands in 44 states and serves over 50,000 customer locations across the USA.
In two decades of working with private equity firms, I’ve learned that anyone in business can use this tool to produce tremendous generational wealth. I’ve shared my experience and insights in my Amazon Best Seller, The Private Equity Playbook: Management’s Guide to Working With Private Equity. The Exit Strategy Playbook: The Definitive Guide to Selling Your Business, I provide step-by-step guidance to get top-dollar for your business when you’re ready to sell it.
In addition to building successful companies with a robust and employee-centered culture, I derive great pleasure from speaking, consulting, teaching, and coaching—sharing my experience and expertise with businesspeople like so many others have invested themselves in my life over the years.
Sharing My Experience
The most rewarding work I do is lecturing to executive MBA candidates at the UCLA Anderson School of Management, helping to shape the minds of the world’s next generation of business leaders. That experience even inspired me to participate as a student in the school’s executive program in business management—and it spurred me to finally put the lessons I had learned in my 20 years of private equity experience into my books.
The most important lesson I have learned, however, is this: No matter how much you work, family is the most important thing at the end of the day. So, while I put my all into making my businesses successful, I intentionally carve out dedicated time to be involved in my wife's and children's lives. And I continue growing and learning daily—and having fun doing it!
Most recently, I founded CEO Advisory Guru LLC to share my expertise with other CEOs, private equity portfolio companies, founders, family offices, and C-suite executives to help them succeed and drive transformative growth.

Adebukola Ajao is a freelance writer-turned-digital media entrepreneur passionate about storytelling and driving awareness through powerful marketing campaigns. With over 7 years of brand marketing experience, she's enthused to equip small businesses with tools to compete in the market.
When she isn't media consulting, you'll find her teaching undergraduate/graduate marketing courses at Northeastern University and mentoring young people, preparing them for their digital-first futures!
I love to help people, and I happen to do that through marketing.
As a freelance writer-turned-digital media consultant, my passion for storytelling and driving awareness through powerful campaigns are fueled by my love for working for others, tiny businesses (SMBs).
I aim to solve SMBs’ most significant marketing challenges - building and managing their digital assets. Over forty percent of small businesses in America do not have a website or a strategic digital presence. I aim to get more companies online to continue fueling our economy without breaking the bank.
With over 5 years of brand marketing experience, I've equipped small businesses with practical tools to compete in the saturated social media market. I help them tap into their unique voice, raise their brand awareness and deliver traffic to their website to boost their bottom line. I’ve worked with Verizon, driving awareness of their SMBs initiative through event planning and community building. I’ve curated events with the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum to create mutually beneficial partnerships with artists and creatives. I’ve also helped over 30 brands build their messaging, style guides, marketing strategies, and overall business structure.
There’s never an end to education in marketing. To enhance my knowledge, I obtained a Master's degree from Northeastern University in Digital Media Management to provide my clients with the most cutting-edge resources, tools, and expertise. Interestingly enough, I’m now a professor in the same program I graduated from.
I’m proficient in brand building, content production, website design, and entrepreneurship. In addition to digital marketing, I am a die-hard youth advocate who loves to give back and be the change I want to see. I’ve mentored the brightest students in Boston and advised hundreds more over the years. The future of marketing is tech, and the future of tech is the people that will enhance it. By working 1:1 with young people, I can get them more involved in STEM careers and prepare for their digital-first futures!
Take a look around my page, and find something interesting? Let me know! I can’t wait to hear from you - gold@adebukola.com.

SPECIAL GUEST
Dr. Nicole Price is the CEO of Lively Paradox, a professional training and coaching business based in the heart of the United States. A few years ago, Dr. Nicole would have been the last to tell a leader to practice empathy. Today, her work brings compassion to nationwide boardrooms and creates more substantial, sustainable companies.
Today, Dr. Nicole knows that empathy can and should be taught to even the most dyed-in-the-wool cynics corporate boardrooms have to offer. Her company is responsible for success stories across the country, and these organizations have created and retained powerful workforces through empathy and boosted their bottom lines.
Dr. Nicole holds a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, a Master's in Education from Park University, and an Educational Doctorate in Leadership from Capella University.
“My audience of human resource personnel would laugh and laud me afterward for my great presentation,” she remembers. “Yes, that’s right, people working in human resources ate up my take-no-prisoners leadership methods.”
This was her philosophy until a fateful meeting at an airport. Dr. Nicole half overheard, half eavesdropped on a conversation this man had with someone from his office. He was trying to hold someone accountable for their responsibilities and commitments. After he hung up, Dr. Nicole said, “Dude, you should fire everybody. None of those people seem like they’re committed to the work.”
The man laughed and introduced himself. He was Dr. Ian Roberts, the author of Radical Empathy in Leadership. The relationship forged at this moment would change Dr. Nicole’s life and the course of countless businesses.
Dr. Nicole Price gets it. She understands that if leadership is anything, it is personal, and everyone can be a great leader — everyone can lead their whole life. So she gets emotional. Dr. Price’s transparency allows others to learn from her mistakes and helps them avoid the same pitfalls. She gets real. She will tell you, yes, having differences within a team can be more challenging, but that hard work can pay off professionally and personally. And she gets wise. She’ll tell you, in a heartbeat, how she’s gotten a few things wrong over the years, but a little grace and some solid coaching saved her.
Can you make mistakes and still be an excellent leader? Is it possible to lead effectively with so many personalities on one team? Can you genuinely lead people and still have a decent life and energy left to live it? If you ask Dr. Price, the answer is absolute yes.
Dr. Price encourages others to live excellently through leadership development, coaching, consulting, keynotes, and other resources. Her energetic and engaging sessions give participants strategies and specific tools they can apply immediately. Her lively presentation style garners rave reviews and, very often, an invitation to return.
Dr. Price received her B.S. in chemical engineering from North Carolina A&T University, her master’s degree in adult education from Park University, and her doctorate in leadership and management from Capella University.
